Hot Weather Reds and Heritage Meats: Grilling and Swilling for the Summer

Join Astor Center and Heritage Foods USA to celebrate a perfect pairing of summer’s favorite pastimes: grilling and swilling!

Sit back and relax, as Chef Emily Peterson whips up our favorite recipes on the grill (and adapted for your kitchen), showcasing the unique tastes of Heritage meats of all varieties, and sharing tips and techniques along the way. We’ll pair each small dish with a selection of red wines perfectly suited for summertime barbecue, while sommelier Kimberly Severson shares the secrets and strategies for picking hot weather wines to complement any grilled dish. Finally, we’ll discuss why choosing heritage breeds for your next barbecue is a smart, sustainable and delicious choice, where they can be found in New York City, and how Heritage Foods USA is working to bring them to your table.

A portion of ticket sales will be donated to Heritage Radio Network.
