In Bordeaux, terroir is essential. From the composition of the soil, to primary grapes grown, to blending decisions made by vignerons and négociants; location is key to determining quality, ageability and style.
Join us for a comparative tasting of Left and Right Bank wines. We’ll identify how environmental factors (like climate and soil), as well as human production decisions (like blending) affect these wines. With two flights from both banks of Bordeaux, we’ll taste the correlation between location and flavor profiles typical to both regions.
We’ll also discuss variations in vintages, determining ageability, cellaring, optimal drinking windows, and ideal food pairings. To demonstrate the effects of age on the development process, our tasting flight will include wines of multiple vintages from both the Left and Right Bank.
