Passion by Punks was originally named ” Passion has red lips”! They started about sixteen years ago. After some up and downs…and who doesn’t have them… they regained energy and they created this vibrant blend made with 60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Shiraz. Including the front label, this is such a fun wine: black fruits and spices are well supported by a nice tannic structure. I love unexpected surprises in both life and the wine world. Sémillon might not be the first white grape you anticipate coming from Australia, nor its intriguing flavor profile. I traditionally have shied away from anything that claims to have Coffee flavors. Save for the real thing. Mr. Black is the real thing!! This liqueur is crafted with Australian wheat vodka, a touch of cane sugar and 100% Arabica coffee sourced from Colombia, Kenya and Papua New Guinea. The brand works directly with the farmers, co-ops, and importers to ensure that all workers are treated with respect; requiring each grower to sign a commitment to the ethical sourcing policy. Melbourne based distillery Starward’s Nova expression sees malt whisky matured in freshly used Australian red wine casks to emphasize the character of the continent. Notes of cinnamon, cherries, raspberries, vanilla, and caramel are beautifully integrated into a pleasant pour.
