Rosé Will Make Your Day

Rosé you’ll Love to Sip on

At the height of summer, rosé is essential. Its cheerful hue and perfectly refreshing ways never go out of style. Rosé seems to exist for daytime drinking, leisurely lunches, and pool lounging. And if you can’t quite swing that routine all summer, rosé at sunset in the city is a welcome and cooling relief. Here are some personal rosé favorites from sales associates Erik Guzinski, Elizabeth Smith, Josh Mitzrahi, Marcarthur Barallo, Amy Miller and sales manager Doug Yacka.

Ployez-Jacquemart, Extra Brut Rosé – NV $24.99
Soft floral aromatics pair with earthy red fruit in a sparkler that never fails to deliver. A light toasty flavor is well integrated with the house’s signature minerality. What a great way to have two-and-a-half glasses anytime without breaking the bank. – EG

Bodegas Olivares Rosado, Jumilla – 2016 $9.96
A delightfully dry and fruity rosé from (ungrafted!) Grenache and Monastrell vines. A fuller body, notes of crunchy apple and pomegranate, and zippy acidity make it bold enough to go with dinner. – ES

Clos Venturi, Rosé – 2015 $32.99
A fun and age-worthy Corsican rosé made with the native Sciacarello grape. Corsica is essentially a big rock formation in the Mediterranean, which perhaps has something to do with the complexity and sturdiness of this wine. Beautiful berry and watermelon is backed with a firm mineral crispness, giving this wine body and substance, and raising it above your everyday rosé. – JM

Dom. Vico Rosé – 2016 $14.96
This Corsican rosé will follow you all summer long. It’s a great companion for your vacation in any paradisiacal locale. Fresh and crisp with green notes and delicate berry to tease your tastebuds. – MB

Ménétou-Salon Rosé, Dom. Gilbert – 2016 $21.99
Bright and vibrant, this rosé is a refined choice for dinner parties. Made with 100% Pinot Noir, it opens with an enticing floral nose that gives way to citrus, mandarin pith, and seashells on the palate with just a whisper of cherry at the end. – AM

Polvanera, Primitivo Brut Rosé – NV $21.96
You don’t find a sparkling Primitivo everyday, but I’m so glad our buyers did! This fizzy, friendly rosé from southern Italy explodes with luscious strawberry and raspberry, balanced by refreshing acidity and just a touch of tannin. I will definitely be quaffing this on the veranda. Oh wait, I live in NYC—I don’t have a veranda. – DY
