“Leitz Out”, Rheingau Riesling, Leitz – 2021 $6.96
Good weather means easy, cold, and accessible wines…Enter Leitz Out. This canned wine jumps out at you with florals, stony minerality, and fresh green apple notes. On the palate it is mostly dry and refreshing with a touch of fruitiness. Drink on a hot summer day with salty potato chips. – Archie Archuleta, Astor Wines & Spirits Consultant
Riesling, Erdenlied – 2021 $12.96
One thing you should know about Austrian Rieslings is that they are almost all bone dry. Nice aromatic notes of honeysuckle and stone fruit on the nose give way to a crisp, mineral structure and a zippy, dry finish. The liter size makes this perfect for parties, but for me, it’s great when I have a party of one. – Josh Mizrahi, Sales Manager
Dhron Hofberg Riesling Kabinett, A.J. Adam – 2021 $24.96
This comes from a grand cru site layered with slate and quartzite that produces wines with exquisite depth and purity. Although this is a kabinett, there’s plenty of ripe fruit—apples and lemon—along with a swirl of petrol aromas, all held aloft by racy acidity. Riesling is about balance and harmony, and this has it in spades. – Amy Miller, Sales Manager
Keuka Lake Vineyards, Dry Riesling – 2021 $23.99
Located on the Southern end of the deep, glacier dug Keuka Lake, Keuka Lake Vineyards crafts distinctive cool-climate Riesling that exudes freshness and purity. Two million years ago, gigantic glaciers carved deep scars into the land, and after retreating North, left the land with cavities that became what are today the Finger Lakes. All of this glacial activity helped create a deliciously complex dry Riesling with aromas & flavors ranging from citrus to peach, with even some mango. Add in a touch of petrol and we have ourselves a winner! – Alex Malecki, Astor Wines & Spirits Consultant
Les Vins de Barbichette, Nuit Blanche – 2021 $33.96
Earnest young, natural winemakers Barbichette that got their start vinifying in Brooklyn. 7 days of skin contact charge the wine with intense honeysuckle, stone fruit, and white tea flavors. – Chung Park, Astor Wines & Spirits Consultant
