It is with great excitement I write about the latest addition to the Astor family. A unique single barreling of a Cask Strength Glen Garioch pronounced “Geery” distilled in 1997 aged 14 years.
The Geery an area of richly fertile land often described as “The Granary of Aberdeenshire” where barley and crystal springs have been abundant for over a thousand years. This single malt is a true tribute to that awesome heritage.
The color a beautiful autumnal gold. The nose slow at first to develop has hints of floral, delicate wood notes blossoming into complex toasted grains. The palate has in equal parts light caramel delicate fruit and hints of cinnamon. The finish buttery & wonderfully warming.
A must try must buy special bottle. Find it here.
